Error in Management Studio

Have installed SQL 2008 db engine and client tools. Each time I attempt to return a resultset, I receive the following error:

An error occurred while executing batch. Error message is: Method not found: 'Void Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.UI.Grid.ColumnInfo.set_ServerVersion(Int32)'.

This error occurs on any data access, such as:

select * from sys.columns

Does anyone know what might be going on?

And if you switch results to text instead of the grid, does everything work?|||

Then completely uninstalled SQL 2008 (had both June and July instances) and reinstalled all of July. This "fixed" the problem. This is a frustrating one, I'd already submitted it as a bug earlier today. Perhaps it is related to partial uninstalls of just the client tools, since I had to uninstall the June tools to install the July ones the first time around. But doing a total remove of all of SQL 2008 seemed to do the trick.

Error in formula any help please

i am trying to write a double expression to return a count of sales
orders when they are from "uk" and status is "good"

application. So I return code like this, i got a backup in another
folder. But, when i attach that new backup mdf file i am getting error
like this.

Attach? did you mean RESTORE? Can you issue just RESTORE command?

Did you look closely at your own logic? What is the actual filename you are
attempting to use as a dump device? Does the actual filename (and, most
notably, the extension) you are using shed any light on why you might be
experiencing problems? You did this same thing with the log file backup.
And why, exactly, do you need to create a dump device for a one time use?
Just backup the database directly to the file! Using an appropriate
filename and extension, of course.

From the code you posted? If so, which line, and can you use Profiler to catch the actual TSQL
statement executed and try them from a query window?
Or are you trying to attach (sp_attach_db) a database backup file? No can do, a backup file need to
be restored.

From the code you posted? If so, which line, and can you use Profiler to cat
ch the actual TSQL
statement executed and try them from a query window?
Or are you trying to attach (sp_attach_db) a database backup file? No can do
, a backup file need to
be restored.

Did you look closely at your own logic? What is the actual filename you are
attempting to use as a dump device? Does the actual filename (and, most
notably, the extension) you are using shed any light on why you might be
experiencing problems? You did this same thing with the log file backup.
And why, exactly, do you need to create a dump device for a one time use?
Just backup the database directly to the file! Using an appropriate
filename and extension, of course.
