Error loading value

I have been getting the error below from an SSIS Package that has been running successfully in production for 2 Months. Also, this started after we installed SP2. We had errors durring the SP2 installation durring the Notification Services and Workstation Tools install but the installation program reported that the installations were successfull so I am not sure if this is related.

Here is the error message:

Error installing SQL Server Management Studio Express

Yesterday I successfully installed Microsoft Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition which included SQL Server 2005 Express. Today I noticed I needed to download the Management Studio seperate download. I downloaded SQLServer2005_SSMSEE.msi and executed it and get the following error:

Error reading from file C:\...\SQLServer2005_SSMSEE.msi. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it..

Solved my own problem. Once I moved the msi to C:\ the installation worked. Apparently the path it was in was too long causing it to be unreadable. c:\xxxx\xxxx\SQLServer2005_SSMSEE.msiSQLServer2005_SSMSEE.msi.

Make sure you download the management tools for Express as well - it will make your life easier.

Error in Merge replication "The schema script..."

I'm trying to set up a merge replication. Publication is created successfully and snapshot also, but when I create pull subscription on subscriber server and merge agent starts, after some time I get an error message of this type:

The schema script '\\ANIL\REPLDATA\unc\ANIL_BEJK_BEJK\20070625142735\dl_HF_vMSCene_3836.sch' could not be propagated to the subscriber.

It seams there is a problem with certain Views and SPs, because tables are successfully created, and some Views and SPs also.

I tried to exclude problematic articles, but every time another one pops up. Up until now, I excluded 7 articles from publication (1 Stored Procedure and 6 Views) but I still get errors.

I gave up because I can't exclude half of the Views and SPs just to make it work.

Is there something that can be done to solve this problem?

Thanks!
Does your SQL Server agent account have rights to read the share \\anil\repldata? Ensure that this account also has rights to list files and folders on the physical drive underlying \\anil\repldata.

If you are using a push subscription it should be the SQL Server agent account on the publisher. If you are using a pull subscription is should be the SQL Server agent account on the subscriber.|||

Hi Hilary

Sharing permisions were set to Read/Write to "Everyone", and security permisions also Read/Write to "Everyone", but it didn't work until I added an account on subscriber computer (which is not in domain) with same username and password as one that exists on publisher (which is in domain). I set SQL Server Agent to use that account and everything started to work fine.

I'm connecting to publisher using the VPN, and despite the fact that those two accounts are not from the same domain, everything is working fine. This is a little bit confusing. It looks like domain name doesn't play any role when logging in to shared folder.

Thanks for the help.

Anil

Error in installing SP1 or sp2

I have a sql server 2005 developer edition installed on my windows xp system.

I apply sql server 2005 sp1 then sp2 all does successfully.

Now I have installed same sql server 2005 developer edition on windows 2003 server

When I installed sp1 or sp2 i get the following error

Invalid Login Information

Your account information could not be verified for one or more instances.

Ensure that you can connect to all the selected instances using the account information provided.

To proceed further deselect the instances to which connectivity cannot be established.

OK

I have done every thing.PRovided sql server as well as windows authentication.

I can easily login by both. But Can't able to apply any Service pack even I uninstalled or reinstall the product.

Please help me what can i do ?

In SP2 when you dismiss the "Invalid Login Information" dialog, you will be taken back to the grid. The actual error message should be show in the grid. What error are you receiving, you may need to resize the "Status" column to see the full error.

Thanks,

Peter Saddow
